This fully staged production features dazzling costumes, cheerful staging, and a lively score performed in the original German with English dialogue and easy-to-follow supertitles. Whether you’re an opera aficionado or a first-time attendee, this sparkling comedy of mistaken identities, lavish parties, and comic revenge is the perfect way to kick off the fall arts season.

Coeur d’Alene native, Madison Leonard, now a Metropolitan Opera artist with international acclaim, returns to her hometown to sing the role of Adele. She will join a cast of artists with nation-wide opera credentials: Shea Owens, Michelle Lange, Johnathan Bryan, Corey Trahan, Andre Chiang, Cody Laun, Tanya Roberts, Nathan Savant, and Laura Beckel Thoreson.

These will be joined by an ensemble of  local singers and accompanied by the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra, under the musical direction of Maestro Danh Pham. The artistic director for the show will be international opera performer and innovator, Dr. Stefan Gordon.
