This fully staged production features dazzling costumes, cheerful staging, and a lively score performed in the original German with English dialogue and easy-to-follow supertitles. Whether you’re an opera aficionado or a first-time attendee, this sparkling comedy of mistaken identities, lavish parties, and comic revenge is the perfect way to kick off the fall arts season. Directed by Dr. Stefan Gordon

Meet The Director
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Stefan Gordon as director for this production. Dr. Gordon holds a D.M.A. in Voice Performance from Arizona State University, an M.M. from Florida State University, and a B.M. from the University of Utah. His impressive international career has taken him to Austria, the Netherlands, China, and across at least eight U.S. states, where he has performed, directed, and produced opera.
Currently, Dr. Gordon serves as Assistant Professor of Voice and Director of Opera at the University of Idaho. His experience and passion for storytelling through music promise a vibrant and thoughtful staging of Strauss’s effervescent masterpiece.
